FCS Data Recovery is here to help you 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  We understand how you’re feeling right now.  This company was created after our owner and founder experienced a serious data loss himself.  Below we explain the process that a typical data recovery goes through.

A typical data recovery process at FCS includes -

1. Discussing the hard drive failure and gathering all the necessary information
Before an assessment and diagnosis can be made, FCS analyzes the true nature of the failure and what it will take to recover your critical data.

Typical questions that need to be answered are:

4 What is the data you need recovered?
4 What type of hard drive is it?
4 How much data is on the hard drive?
4What happened when the drive failed?
4 How fast do you need the data?

Though these questions seem basic, they are immensely critical in making an initial assessment of the failure and what may be required in terms of resources to recover your critical data.

2. In-lab diagnostic assessment
After the initial assessment of the hard drive has been made, we will send you a detailed instruction set on how to ship the media to our lab. Our FREE in-lab diagnostic assessment of your media determines whether the hard drive is accessible to our lab equipment. If so, the first priority is to create a raw image of the data on the hard drive onto new media so that logical analysis can determine the nature of the data loss situation. The integrity of your data is never placed in jeopardy as all recovery procedures are performed on an exact sector by sector duplicate of your original drive. If the hard drive is inaccessible our lab will test the components and closely examine its internal health to determine the extent of physical damage.

After a thorough assessment, we get back to you to explain:

4What went wrong with the hard drive.
4 What needs to be done to recover your critical data.
4 What is the extent of recovery that could be successfully performed, and what files can be recovered.
4 The timeline for the recovery of data.
4What the cost will be to recovery your data.

As has always been our standard:  NO DATA =  NO CHARGE.  In the event your data isn’t recoverable, you pay only for return shipping of the drive.

3. Recovering your valuable information
Once we have received your approval to proceed - the recovery process will begin. Depending on the extent of the failure, our technicians and engineers may have to replace failed or damaged components or work on the hard drive in our Class 100 Clean Room.
